Nasal & Sinus Symptom Relief: Results from a Clinical Study
In a small retrospective review presented at the 2023 American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology Annual Meeting (Abstract 326), 18 users of a Sinusol® essential-oil nasal spray reported improvements in overall sinonasal symptom scores after at least one week. Symptoms highlighted in the findings included runny nose, postnasal discharge and cough; nasal obstruction and other symptoms were assessed with the SNOT-22 questionnaire. The average SNOT-22 score decreased from 37.1 to 20.1 (P = .003). This was an uncontrolled observational study, so these findings do not establish that Sinusol® treats disease or causes improvement in any individual symptom.
